A garage conversion is one of the most cost-effective ways to add a habitable room without extending your home's footprint. We handle the whole job: infilling the door opening, insulating floors, walls and ceilings, new windows, plastering, electrics, heating, flooring and decoration.
The build is carried out by our own construction team, with qualified electricians and plumbers for those trades. We coordinate drawings, structural details and Building Regulations sign-off, so you deal with one point of contact throughout. Construction work is delivered by Interior Ease Construction Ltd, part of Perenna Services.

Do I need planning permission for a garage conversion?
Many garage conversions fall under permitted development, so planning permission isn't needed. It can be required if permitted development rights have been removed, in some conservation areas, or if the outside of the building changes significantly. We'll advise on your property and coordinate any applications.
Do garage conversions need Building Regulations approval?
Yes. Converting a garage into a habitable room needs Building Regulations approval, covering insulation, ventilation, fire safety, windows and the new wall in the door opening. We coordinate this and building control inspections as part of the job.
How long does a garage conversion take?
It depends on the size and specification. We'll give you a realistic programme with your written quotation after the site visit.
